why don't you get super to pay into your Australian bank account to the lowest income tax bracket l, so you don't need to pay income tax. If you are an Australian retirement age, your super earning is tax on your earning( income stream). Look at the tax threshold income for Thailand, you get it transferred to your Thai bank account from Australia bank account just enough to live and pay the lowest tax. I don't think Australian Super will transfer your money direct to your overseas bank account( I asked this question to the super employee in 2022- the answer is NO.

As an income tax, to my knowledge Thai tax is lower than Australia. However, if your income is very high the tax rate is probably very similar.

Check the rules also in Thai Tax Office website- สรรพากร

To my knowledge, last year the shipping agent told me that it is not allowed. If any used parts or used vehicles were shipped to Thailand- they will be crushed with no question asked. Sometimes ago, people imported parts and vehicles to Thailand illegally then got caught and fined. They then went to an auction to get their cars/ parts. Well, it caused too many issues to government/ car industry etc.

# PLEASE CHECK WITH THE SHIPPING AGENT AND/ OR THE LAWYER BEFORE TRANSPORT IT TO THAILAND.

THE NEW VEHICLE IS ALLOWED WITH PERMISSION AND WITH AT LEAST 100% TAX

I did for two international driver licences- in English, there was never any requirement to translate any document. A Thai driver licence card has two languages ( Thai and English). You may be do it in other places that make it easy. Go online and read about the rules - I found each office slightly different.

Do it yourself is better. Check all the requirements in Thai Embassy website of your country. You then apply from there( could be an application form online) or if you are in Thailand - search from the Thai immigration website, make a phone call to ask questions.

I agree with your suggestion- you should test the water first before jumping in. I hate to see many people regret it. I love Thailand, I love to see many people live in Thailand- but be informed and be cautious about making changes. Keep you cash in the bank and your live sustainably..

depends on an accident for example if she had a fall at home or fell from a bicycle the 30 THB Medicare will cover. If she got a motorbike or car accident the motor accident insurance will cover. However, if the car or motorbike were not insured. The patient/ the owner of the vehicle needs to pay for hospital fee up to whatever by law stipulate i.e. motorbike insurance cover for 30k, car insurance cover for injury /treatment up to 80k THB.

This rule applies to everyone in Thailand including Farang.

not a scam- this rule has been used with every motor accident injury in Thailand for sometimes. If the vehicle has a registration and insurance cover- the owner/ Injured person does not need to pay any cent for hospital treatment BUT if there is no insurance - they have to pay to the maximum requirement motorbike is 30k, car is 80k.

By law if the rider has no insurance, he needs to pay for his own hospital cost up to the fee that the motorbike insurance cover would pay ( probably 30k). The government hospital won't wave that fee. It will be in his debt and he has to pay it does matter how long it would be. I was surprised to hear how the government is making sure people take responsibility for their own actions. Years ago people used to get away with it as they cried poor me and my family.

What they told you is true.

Thai people call Saleng. It is not easy to ride. Most Thai people are very skillful to ride- they mostly use it on the farm or village road. Last year I got it tipped to the side because my hubby was too heavy when he sat opposite the bike.
