Same happened to me 2 weeks ago. I had to go to AIS, have a receipt issued in my name with my passport number and then take it to Bangkok Bank so they could “verify” my phone number (again) and check passport (again) and bank book (again). 😣

Hi Larry, you did not mention which country you come from. So that could have different replies to your question. In Sourh Africa our national postal system does not exist , so using a courier is best.

Whilst in Thailand we have had absolutely no problems receiving and sending mail and parcels with their postal system. Works like a charm.

looking into that, prices from learning centres vary so much - 😱, but this seems to be the best option.
