I would avoid Vietnam, I think they are not used to people doing a visa run and just want to turn around in Airport.

if tourist or visa excempt, did you get the 30day extension at Immigration?

did Nong Khai stamp you in 30days or just cancelled your exit stamp? What visa did you use?

this I not sure, but you fly to KL and get one boarding pass, in KL you go to transit counter and get your second boarding pass. My husband just did it recently.

In KL you can do that TRANSIT thing, just make sure you keep both boarding passes.

if you have a extension of stay with multiple reentry permit than Chaeng Watana can cancel for you. A Visa itself can not be cancelled. If you just have a extension of stay than you can leave the country and it will be voided.

I guess it is my turn to answer NO. Your best chance is an agent who perform some kind of tricks to get you an extension or work permit. Even us, a visa run service, are not familiar in that grey area and we too can not recommend going that route. So I close commenting as we not allow promotion of illegal services.
