 yes, thank you. The IO said that as well. And I asked if I can extend for 1 month, she said yes as long as I have a letter from the embassy.

 it mentions about a certain criteria/order from immigration bureau-I’m guessing it’s an agreement of some sort between the two countries

Update: the process was smooth, no questions asked. But the place was packed - we started 8:16 and finished at 3:12.

I guess if you have the letter from the embassy, they might consider extending you.

 I heard/read this too. Others said they’ll accept if you printed the email too. Mine is just printed. Still waiting here, I’ll update afterwards
