Stay until the insurance has paid, be impatient, hang on your bed, let the staff know THEY have to settle the bill with the insurance. Once you leave the hospital, the pressure is gone and you might not get your money back. Once I spent over 6 hours like this, but eventually the bill was cleared. I do know cases where the patient left after paying by themselves (advanced, as the insurance suggested) and the insurance turned silent.........
Thank you all for commenting. I have put all the pros and cons in a row and believe it is better to fly to Bangkok and straight to Europe from there (so not leave the airport at all) with a Finnair flight. You made me think guys. Its not worth it just to give my daughter a hug and do some banking.
I know of a friend who crossed the bridge, only he had to apply for a full visa, so that triggered my question. Is that still the case, or is travel made easier already.( There are debates about it in the government ).
