Yes, it’s incredibly expensive. I didn’t fully realize just how costly it was until I enrolled my child in one of the most affordable schools I could find. The less expensive option we tried wasn’t good at all, so we ended up unenrolling my kid.

Probably end of their contract and got the VA disability. My husband is a veteran under his 30s.

You can pay tuition per term, but some schools want the whole amount upfront, which can be a lot. It really depends on the school you choose. Most schools have a registration fee between 100k-400k per person, and it’s non-refundable. I do know some schools offer discounts for American passport holders, but I haven’t tried that myself yet. Maybe they got the VA disability

For the visa, they could probably get an ED visa. Just a heads up good international schools here are super pricey. It’s almost what we get from VA disability. and we cant even put our kid in one. Homeschooling might be the way to go. Thailand used to be cheap, but not anymore.

It seems like there have been some delays with the Thai visa applications in Ho Chi Minh City, possibly due to recent holidays, Weekend etc.

Reach out to the Thai embassy directly for updates. Sometimes delays can be resolved with direct communication.
