Thailand government is long long past being farang friendly, they used all the dough we spent here on technology to keep us under control and piss us off, now I’m in Laos and although it’s got no beach it’s great with super duper friendly people and so long as you got the moolah no problem with da visa, no complicated BS. Get it in writing with the officers name and official stamp fr that office, better safe than sorry

would it be easier just to have a driving test rather than go through all that BS paperwork, check out the way Thai people drive, the test couldn't be that hard

Aside from your question be sure that you get stamped in for 60 days by giving the passport opener at your visa page, we recently came through immigration and got stamped in only for 30, both of us.
