I am not saying they have not been fair. The amnesty was a great gesture for which I am very thankful. The problem is that it is still not possible to obtain visas and, or extensions in the way it was pre covid.

the issue is that there is currently no way of obtaining a non immigrant o Visa or retirement Visa without leaving the country. Normally this would not be a problem for me as I would return to the UK, sell a house and come back with the right Visa from London embassy. Currently I would not be allowed back so that is the issue. Do you understand now?

I have tried volunteering at a local school but I am told I need a work permit. I cant get a work permit without a bank account and I cant get a bank account without a work permit. The whole thing is ludicrous. Everyone says something different. Things might be easier in Bangkok or CM but I am out in the sticks. The dont know what to do.
