Joe Gerardi If you use an agent it's not legal and can cause you huge problems later.

I went to Krabi immigration yesterday and renewed my retirement visa.

The police captain told me that thai immigration is trying to stop the agents now. I saw on Phuket news that some agents in Phuket just disappeared with foreigners passports and money and it was not possible to contact them.

Foreigners who can't afford to keep 800.000 Baht in a thai bank, should never come and live her.

Yes 2 months before renewal and 3 months after renewal and the other 7 months at least 400.000 Baht.

Shane Kinneally You are absolutely right and if people can't afford to keep 800.000 in a bank they have nothing to do in Thailand.

Before Thailand paid millions in medical bills because foreigners stayed in Thailand without money so it is absolutely fair.

800,000 THB in a Thai bank or monthly income 65.000 Baht or a combination of income and money in the bank.

Spouse Visa:

400.000 Baht in a thai bank or monthly income 40.000 Baht.

Graham Seal With the first visa application it's correct it's 2 months before.

With renewal it's 3 months before, 3 months after renewal and the other 6 months at least 400.000 Baht.
