Two things....I just did this a week ago for a marriage extension.
#1: The head branch of Bangkok Bank in Silom will print a 12 month statement while you wait for 100b. And a certification letter for another 100b. This works for regular savings accounts and foreign currency accounts.
#2 my branch, for free, produced a deposit certificate like the one shown. I asked for it to be dated the day I went to immigration.
, my monthly ACH transfers to and from the USA have not stopped. In fact, I just got one yesterday morning.
I use US Bank in the USA. I make scheduled transfers monthly. Into Bangkok Bank from personal accounts and out of Bangkok bank to the USA from a business account.
When Bangkok Bank posted the change in format to iACH on their website, I sent the info to my bank branch manager who said US Bank had been compliant with iACH for years. They tell me my transfers will not stop unless I cancel them.
Emma White Cool... congratulations to him for getting approved. There are, if I remember, 3 documents the MFA provide. And some documents you need to print from MMOS.
Sorry I'm not up to date on the current process. But if the MMOS site is to be believed, you tell them what embassy you want to go to to receive the visa. Look in their FAQs. Or just call MFA, they all speak English there.
Reading back, I see your hubby is a journalist. So I'm guessing he has done the online application via the MFA website an been approved.
When I did this 3 years ago, I had to go to the MFA collect the documents and take them to immigration at Chang Watthana to get the stamp. It was, at that time, something that could only be done only in Country and at the BKK immigration office.
Things often change here especially when the media is concerned. But, the MFA will provide the exact and current instructions for him when he receives his approval notification.
