baht each month. Can not be a bit less some months because you have a bit more other months.
If you did the
*****
0 baht deposit method, then you can use this deposit for all the coming years without worrying about the monthly deposits. (there are specific rules on when and how much your bank account can or can not go under the
*****
0 baht - be careful and I'd advise a dedicated account for this deposit.)
OR you can do a combination of the 2 methods : for instance
Your SEPERATE re-entry permit can be single or multiple.
The single is 1000 baht, the multiple is a "as many times as you want" for 3800 baht.
You can apply and get the re-entry on the same day you do the 1 year extension (right after you get the extension) to save time and running. Or if you don't have any clear plans yet, wait to apply until you're sure about your flight out of Thailand.
You can also apply at the airport the day you leave - which I have never done because don't want the added stress, but good to know it exists as an emergency option.
No. And it wouldn't make much sense (very impossible to do) for your Thailand Pass to be processed so very last minute at the moment you get your pcr result.
I use a kasikorn fixed time deposit and when it matures it renews without dropping to zero in between. Works very well as my dedicated retirement extension account.
Only need to deposit or withdraw 1000 baht on the day of applying for my retirement extension of course.
So I guess it depends on which bank uses which technique at maturing.
"(tourist) visa exemption" is the correct wording. For tourists from certain countries who can get a permission to stay stamp on arrival without the need to have a visa.
The (wrong) wording "exempt tourist visa" implies it is a specific visa. But the whole point is that it is not a visa, it is an exemption from visa to come and stay for a limited time in Thailand for tourism purposes.
If you are 50 or older and working like crazy outside of Thailand you can get that visa if you qualify for the requirements. But if you would be 49 and really retired you wouldn't be able to get it.
No idea why discrimination by age is so important for this kind of visa. As if those under 50 are unwanted irresponsible young brats, but 50 and up are mature, wise (wo)men of respectable age who can handle this kind of visa ?
Then you can do whatever you feel like. There is no clear official policy which is consistently followed.
In theory the test result should be recorded in the morchana app, but this app seems to be a complete mess which hardly anyone can be bothered.
My hotel gave me clear instructions about the self test to mail it to them (they never even mentioned morchana app). So that's what I did. This seems to be the usual way.
If they don't give any instructions at all, seems the hotel is just assuming you'd use the useless morchana app which doesn't work. Don't worry about it.
If your hotel gave you clear instructions, just do it now and send them the result to make them happy. A day or 2 dlate doesn't matter. Could always pretend you did the test on time but forgot to mail it to them if that gives you peace of mind. (But don't worry about it really)
If your hotel didn't give you any instructions or was vague and confusing about what you had to do, then don't bother with it and use it later on for yourself.
