hours from Chiang Mai I have enough of the city living and everything is much cheaper where I am in the rural surroundings and I save money from my modest Australian pension. At the moment the Thailand government have been changing visa standard every other day, I am not sure if any visa you apply for today will be valid tomorrow. In the short term, I am fairly certain that long term visas are being granted except for one where you must invest in buying a condo and have 5 million baht in a secured bank account for a minimum of 5 years.
Speak to your nearest embassy and get all the correct information on what is required as you will get one-sided information some for and others against as for the Philippines I weighed up the options of there or Thailand I choose the latter and I am very happy in my decision. as for English speaking Thailand has more than you require.
Thanks Tod, what you have said makes sense. I have always been on an OA visa and yes I have a new Health Insurance that will be due October 1 2021. last year I had my extension renewed early on October 25 to get away from having to have the Health Insurance for a little longer.
