What should I do, on November 12 I went to Immigration Chiang Mai and extended my retirement visa for 365 days as it was due on the 19th November. Never looked at the new date as it has always been the 19th day of November, it is now stamped October first 2021??????

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user extended their retirement visa in Chiang Mai but noticed that it was mistakenly stamped with an October date instead of the expected November date. Community comments suggest checking the validity of their passport and imply that the visa extension length may relate to insurance coverage associated with the type of visa.

, what
@Ba***
had originally was an O-A VISA from his country before he came here and he was stamped in for a year when he arrived and when that ran out he would have applied for a year extension based on that O-A VISA entry. AND because it's an O-A visa it requires mandatory insurance AND because his insurance wasn't valid for as long as his previous stamp was he got an extension for the duration of the insurance policy he had.

They usually write on the extension in thai (extended until insurance runs out)

you were not originally on an O-A visa entry and went to an extension where you had to show proof of insurance did you?

Remember on an O-A visa/extension you only get the extension for the length of time you are insured for AND you must be insured when you apply for the extension.

That's the only thing I can think it might be,

Thanks Tod, what you have said makes sense. I have always been on an OA visa and yes I have a new Health Insurance that will be due October 1 2021. last year I had my extension renewed early on October 25 to get away from having to have the Health Insurance for a little longer.

Happened to me last year. I lost a week or two.

@Christine *****
they usually stamp or write on the extension that you got it issued until the insurance runs out.

Is your passport still valid beyond October 1st?
