TLDR : Answer Summary
The community suggests several airlines for international travel to Thailand from the USA, with a consensus that Qatar Airways is highly recommended for its comfort and service. Other noted airlines include China Airlines, Emirates, All Nippon Airways (ANA), and Singapore Airlines. Travelers discussed their experiences and mentioned the importance of verifying entry requirements and flight availability due to changing COVID-19 regulations. Additionally, layover considerations were highlighted, especially for those flying through major hubs.

If I were flying from Houston, I would use ANA ( All Nippon ) Airways. Wonderful airline.

They fly non stop from Houston to Tokyo and then Tokyo to BKK.

Check with the consulate that you will be getting your 'certificate of entry' form from.

They will have a list of 'approved semi-commercial' flights that can land.

I went with Qatar because of the exchange/cancel policy.

Keep in mind covid cases in Thailand are rising right now and may disrupt air travel.

however you fly within the US make sure you have enough layover time to get from terminal to terminal because you may have to show your paperwork before leaving for the international leg of your flight. I almost missed my LAX to Tokyo flight because my layover was only an hour.

if Houston I’d check United Airlines. You’ll probably have to route through Los Angeles or San Francisco but the flights out of the US are at

capacity and out of Tokyo to BKK even less people.

Yeah I’ve been using United out of Louisiana through to Houston for a long time and their no change fee policy has been solid. They used to have a flight direct to Tokyo from Houston but right now there aren’t enough people to put on it so they’re bringing everyone from Houston to LAX or possibly San Francisco.

I hope you have everything arranged at landing. You will be quarantined at your arranged hotel. Your last question about if you will be let into the country should have been answered,. simply, no. You will need to jump thru all the hoops that have been put in front of you.
