Hey by the end of the 9 months, that 6 month visa for 10k baht might be available. Just relax and do the 9 months first. There is always a way for you to stay longer.
Anonymous member listen, that rainy day fund is for the unexpected to happen. Just because it didn't happen to you now doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. Depending on your pension is doable but you never know when life throws you a curveball.
it is a rainy day fund for a reason. You were lucky you didn't get into an accident and have to be in the hospital for a few weeks. That balance is for the unexpected to happen.
Honestly 200k is less than 6k usd in your bank account. Thailand is not cheap in the city. You should not be here with less than 10k usd saved in your rainy day fund.
this is absolute bs. All the real estate developers encourage foreigners to buy homes using this method. Most of the houses in Samui are set up this way. I cannot recall seeing a foreigner with a Thai wife on Samui. This is why you rent and assume little risk.
owner will never sell unless they do it at a lost. No owner would reject your idea of doing something to improve their property. As for it is not yours, this is Thailand, it is never yours. You're just too old fashion, I don't think I can convince you.
