Ban Chang , Rayong is 35 minutes outside of Pattaya has beaches and Utapoe airport is 10 minutes away . Ban Chang is growing and has lots of expats. We just build our house 2 years ago . Has everything you need plus it’s close enough to Pattaya and You can get to Bangkok on the Motor way in 2 hours .

You need a step down transformer. It’s also depends on the size of appliances. For hair dryer/ charger it’s best to get 1000 but for any bigger like your drill get 2000 which is the big one. Small ones is not big enough.

I brought my Christmas tree with lights from the States ordered step down from Lazada it blown with in 15 minutes. My tree were 5 foot. I was told it’s best to get commercial grade which it’s heavy and can handle the power. Remember to not to buy to big it’s not good either google it to see which size transformer is best for specific appliance.
