Me , my other half and my little girl are looking to visit Thailand and travel about for a month or so. We are both unvaccinated, we have booked our 10 day Quarantine hotel in Bangkok, our thailand pass, and sorted out decent health insurance. Is there anything else we should know that will make getting into the country unvaccinated any easier?
Many thanks.
Kyle.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Kyle and his family are planning a month-long visit to Thailand, having arranged a 10-day quarantine hotel, vaccination exemption documentation, and health insurance. They seek advice on additional measures to ease their entry into the country as unvaccinated travelers. Responses highlight the importance of comprehensive health insurance, potential requirements for vaccination proof at various venues, and existing mask mandates. Travelers are encouraged to verify specific venue requirements ahead of time to avoid complications during their trip.
At least one hotel in Bangkok (Marvin Villa) required me to show the proof of vaccination in order to check in. One smal village that I visited in Isan also asked me to give them my vaccination card to submit to their local health officials.
Just a heads up, everyone is still required to wear masks, some places will require vacination for entry or possibly a test at entry, so it may be wise to check with any where you plan to visit what their requirements are so save wasted journeys.
Insurance will cover medical needs with set symptoms such as high fever for a set time period. It is the asymptomatic quarantine costs that are not common for insurance coverage.
Looks like your good to go. I’ve just completed my 10 day quarantine, went ok as it happens. Luckily I had a balcony and could sit by the pool for 45 mins which made a difference. Apparently they’re looking at the amount of quarantine time, maybe going to reduce that....makes sense, as there’s virtually no difference between jabbed and unjabbed regarding transmit rates. Enjoy.
The hotel arranged day 2 and day 8. That’s all that was needed. Obviously your test before the flight as well. For info when your coming back, I’d booked a day 2 test....didn’t turn up, and had no comeback. Somebody mentioned they’d used a previously used code to put in your passenger locator form. Wish I’d done that and saved myself £95. Not that you should do the same 🤔
yes takes couple of days, but cases are rising and i would want to be stuck in one of those covid hotels you hear about and see on you tube. One benifit of being vaccinated dont have to show test results, although gym i go to has weekly tests but wouldnt get reported if unfortunate to catch.
