I had to go home to the uk on a personal matter , I had a multi entry already , I was away for over 5 months . No problem .. ( I had a problem with my condo but that was a different matter 🙄 ) .

On this subject , my UK passport is due to expire in October , question , can you renew a passport at any time , and if I apply for a 10 year say this week , would I get 10 years + months still remaining ?

Plus I’m please to hear that I keep the passport with me and only give embassy / agent ( dependent on which route I take ) copies of said passport , is that correct

( I have a long term ‘ pension ‘ visa , ) I then take to immigration on my next 90 day , or before and they will transfer all the visa info / stamps ?

not my problem , I know them I wouldn’t say they are friends 😉 , it’s just both ‘ I believe ‘ are living from hand to mouth , pouncing , ones working I think , not sure now . They don’t want a deportation stamp . And have nothing ( again I’m not 100% ) back in the uk .

yeah , ( and I know of two cases myself ) are to scared actually to try and leave because both have overstayed for over a year , 3 years in one case .

I wouldn’t want anything hanging over me , luckily I’ve retired , these guys are only in their 30’s I’d guess , and not known to each other .
