Just a quick question

I'm moving condos in 2weeks , I have my contract already etc . Now I know you are supposed to inform immigration about this , my question is can I do it before I actually move , have to do it on the day , or is it ok to do 3-4 days after ?

When I last moved , I didn't inform them at all to begin with and my estate agent never explained and claimed they never knew it had too , so after being there 4 months I was told about it , went straight there next day , got a lecture for being a naughty boy .... I never asked and wasn't told when I needed to do if I moved again as at the time I didn't think I would be again ,any ideas ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the protocol for notifying immigration in Thailand when moving to a new condo, specifically whether this should be done in advance, on the day of the move, or a few days after. The comments indicate variations in practice among different immigration offices, particularly mentioning that Jomtien now requires the TM30 form rather than TM28 for reporting such changes.

Jomtien wont accept a TM28. They roll sections 37 and 38 of the immigration together into requiring only a TM30.....each and everytime you leave and enter not only the country but when away from Chonburi province for more than a 24 hr period.
Ron *******
Depends what immigration office. Jomtien don't recognise the TM28 anymore. Everything is done with the TM30.
