Just a statement of what happened to me today doing my 90days report

Straight in 3:30 pm chon buri , ( Pattaya )

No queue , great .

Then the officer takes my passport , takes out the old paper , ,couldn’t get he’s computer to work or print out new one . Scratched he’s head .. spoke to he’s college .. then just put a line through my old paper and re attached to my passport , wrote. 15/03/2018 .. gave it back to me , I said are you sure this is ok , registered etc .. he said computer not work , but ok .. I said that should be 2019 ? .. oh ok sorry he said , put a line through 15/03/2018 ... replace with scribble 15/03 / 2019 ... I said again is this legit as it’s not registered.

I mean I could of done what you’ve done myself ? .. yeah no problem , come back 15/3 ... if not you get 2000 bht fine . I said I get that , but if it’s not registered, I’m going to get fined anyway , ! .... yes he said , ok , go go ...

Can you at least sign it , he just did like a circle. ...😳🙄

Ok , go now !

TLDR : Answer Summary
A poster shares a frustrating experience at the Chonburi Immigration Office while completing their 90-day report. Despite a lack of queue, the officer faced computer issues and improperly processed the report by scribbling on the old paper instead of issuing a new one. The poster expressed concerns about the legitimacy of the process, especially if it wasn't registered in the system, fearing future fines. Comments from the community highlight similar experiences with immigration officers, suggesting the need for proper documentation and advising against trusting the process without verification.

Do they let us record these interactions?

I turn comments off, nothing further to gain. If someone feel offended by my comment, I apologize. I sometimes admire the countless IO having to the face this work every day.

it would be more fun if they would record THE ALIEN trying to navigate through the easy process while making it more complicated by themselves.

Nasty part of computers, something those things do not work. I remember a day at Krabi Airport, total black out, all foreigners stamped in by candle light. No problem, all in the database the next day. Shopping at

, no problem she writes it down and use a hand calculator for the change. Never ever I have to go back the next day to check if they really did their job. But if you do not trust them, your only option is go back and hope the computers work to satisfy your feelings.

I think I will pop down there tomorrow, just say I’m here for my 90 days , get a ticket , queue, present passport and docit , see what they say ..

There is only a problem if you like to see one. As mentioned by Immigration officers, no problem, but if you see problems go back and do it again.

I would advise you go there again tomorrow or Monday because if it's not in the system you will have problems especially because you might not be fortunate to meet that same officer next 90days to testify your claims. Don't be surprised the next time they will say you did that cancellation yourself...
