I worked for the UN and didnt pay tax so not qualifies for residency. From your answers it seems non OA is better but you can only get it in your home country right? No problem with that.

I have worked on a non-immigrant visa arranged by the UN which gives me a stay permit of 3 years. Of course this is now going to end. I still don't know why both non-O and non-OA exist. What is their purpose? If non-O is easier, then why would anybody go for non-OA?

I work for the UN and have not paid taxes. As a result I am not eligible for residency permit. I am only going to retire next year so before I had no interest in retirement issues as it changes all the time. I still wonder, if non-O has no requirement for health insurance and no medical or policy check isn't it preferable to non-OA?
