Yeah, but they can and do stamp your passport saying 'denied entry' which would likely make another immigration officer at another port not want to let you in either. I wouldn't antagonise any immigration official and I try to avoid Suvarnabhumi.
They might be but I've had immigration officers in Suvarnabhumi Airport single me out and give me grief in the past on a tourist visa. I only had B10k in cash and not B20k as one is supposed to. They wouldn't let me back in.
I think they might have a quota of people to stop, or something. This is just speculation, though. I deliberately avoid Suvarnabhumi, now. Don Mueang seems much more chill and Chiang Mai Airport even more so.
I agree. There seems to be a much greater probability of success with a soft power dtv. At B10-15,000 it's much easier than trying a less tried & tested/standardised route.
True. The embassy in Jakarta was very, very curious why I wanted a DTV when I'd already paid for a still valid 90 day volunteer visa. I told them I had a horrible, foolish boss and they were sympathetic. They gave me the dtv.
You're not wrong, Andi. I've had 2 giant meals today.
I'm sure it must be frustrating for masters of any craft watching the uninitiated botch moves that they themselves have perfected over decades but they seem to be easygoing and empathetic enough to adopt the patience required. I find that very humbling.
I wouldn't expect Brock Lesnar or the Undertaker to patiently advise me while I unsuccessfully attempt to try to throw them around but here I am in Thailand 🇹🇭, in the privileged position of having living legends hold pads for me. Crazy.
