It's a gym called 'FightEvo360 gym'.

Their Facebook page says 'FightEvo360'.

They were offering a dtv suitable course for B20k a month ago, according to a successful dtv applicant. Good luck.

There are people who win big in a casino but I wouldn't bet my life savings on a roulette wheel.

For anyone who's spent any time in Thailand 🇹🇭, we all have to brace for plenty of trial & error from the government and immigration.

Why would anyone take them at their word when making an absurd promise like a 5 year visa for a single concert/dental appointment?

...especially when a more legitimate 6 month course muay thai dtv visa can be had for B10-15k or a language ED visa can be purchased for B25k.

We all want to believe in fairytales. I do, too, but it's best to prepare for the worst, I think.

Yeah, but they can and do stamp your passport saying 'denied entry' which would likely make another immigration officer at another port not want to let you in either. I wouldn't antagonise any immigration official and I try to avoid Suvarnabhumi.

@Colin ******
They might be but I've had immigration officers in Suvarnabhumi Airport single me out and give me grief in the past on a tourist visa. I only had B10k in cash and not B20k as one is supposed to. They wouldn't let me back in.

I think they might have a quota of people to stop, or something. This is just speculation, though. I deliberately avoid Suvarnabhumi, now. Don Mueang seems much more chill and Chiang Mai Airport even more so.

I agree. There seems to be a much greater probability of success with a soft power dtv. At B10-15,000 it's much easier than trying a less tried & tested/standardised route.

True. The embassy in Jakarta was very, very curious why I wanted a DTV when I'd already paid for a still valid 90 day volunteer visa. I told them I had a horrible, foolish boss and they were sympathetic. They gave me the dtv.

I would just reserve a flight ✈️ for now, using the onwardticket.com website Samantha so kindly supplied.

Then I would apply for the DTV visa.

I would only book the flight (using Trip.com for cheap flights) once the visa is confirmed, to avoid extra costs.

Good luck.

Another 2 x Lumpini champion 🏆 🥇 in the same gym. That's insane.

You're not wrong, Andi. I've had 2 giant meals today.

I'm sure it must be frustrating for masters of any craft watching the uninitiated botch moves that they themselves have perfected over decades but they seem to be easygoing and empathetic enough to adopt the patience required. I find that very humbling.

I wouldn't expect Brock Lesnar or the Undertaker to patiently advise me while I unsuccessfully attempt to try to throw them around but here I am in Thailand 🇹🇭, in the privileged position of having living legends hold pads for me. Crazy.

Nothing kind about them, Derry. Just facts. Great gym, 👍. Easygoing people.
