TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're applying for a DTV visa but your flight date is uncertain, you can input estimated dates and consider using an onward ticket as proof of travel for your application. It's suggested to reserve a flight temporarily through services like onwardticket.com and finalize the flight booking only after your visa is confirmed to avoid unnecessary costs.

I would just reserve a flight ✈️ for now, using the onwardticket.com website Samantha so kindly supplied.

Then I would apply for the DTV visa.

I would only book the flight (using Trip.com for cheap flights) once the visa is confirmed, to avoid extra costs.

Good luck.

And when they ask you for proof of flight…. Onwardticket

(Used that for both mine and my husbands DTV)

So, do you know whether bank and company information needs to be translated into Thai?

No translation was asked for. Not from the London embassy at least.
