Whatever the majority tells here, check yourself the rates of your local banks. Wise usually offers the best exchange rates, but the fees are rising high with large amounts of money sent.

Example, Postbank Germany:

Postbank charges 0,8‰ of the amount sent, minimum 6 Euro and maximal 40 Euro. If you now send 1Mio USD, the 40,- EUR are peanuts. Additionally this bank charges a fixed fee of 25,- EUR.

Local banks often have such a low fixed fee but slightly worse exchange rates. Nobody here knows your bank and their fees, so all comments are out of the blue. There are websites, where you are able to compare, i.e. on WISE website:

Seems you got scamed. Not even including non-b and work permit it's 5k USD, and including the sso for the 4 Thai employees.

correct. It didn't work 100% in the past, but that should be solved meanwhile.
