I have a PE Visa (or had until it expired during lockdown) and it's doesn't sit anywhere except being an expensive tourist visa but it looks like only tourist visas will be extended as announced in January. I have to leave at some point anyway to get my retirement visa but having lived here coming up to 9 years I would if been grateful of a little more time. But it is what it is
A visa exempt will leave you little time to apply for a Non O inside the country but I know it can be done. An OA has be applied for in your home country. If you're going to do it that way for a Non O inside the country better to have a 60 day tourist visa but from my understanding doing it that way you have to prove your funds come from overseas.
Still need an embassy letter it looks. I am not even on a Non O and was denied. Many embassies not giving a letter. I leave next week having got a 7 day stamp
I have a friend works for Thai. She said nothing needed. In addition if you click on my profile you will see the thread of my same question and the answers.
