so even if I am not providing my passport to the embassy (as it’s not required with eVisa), do they have some kind of software that tells them which country I am located in at the time based on which immigration checkpoint I have passed through? I didn’t think countries would share this information between them.
I’m an Australian citizen planning to apply for this visa very soon, two questions:
1 - I just recently had a METV from Canberra embassy expire on 18th July (and was in Thailand with many other tourist visa’s prior to this), essentially trying to assure the embassy every time that I am there simply for travel/leisure. If I then apply for a DTV via the same embassy so soon, would this create a discrepancy in the eyes of the embassy and potentially effect the outcome, where now suddenly I am a remote worker? Or do they not care about this bc they get my money 😂
2 - Is there any way for the embassy to determine whether I am actually in Australia at the time of applying or not? I am not in Thailand right now, but I’m not in Aus either, but I’d like to apply via Canberra embassy as they have been super efficient with every application. I can upload my drivers licence and proof of flight from Aus to Thailand. Besides this, would there be any way for them to know that I wasn’t in Aus at the time?
just wondering how you went with this process in the end? I’m an Aussie from Melbourne, planning to apply for multi entry tourist visa. Did they require any additional docs from you? What was the overall timeframe of the process? Thanks 🙏🏼
