Hi everyone. Quick question about the 6 month multi-entry tourist visa. I'm an Australian, do I need to apply via the consulate in Sydney, or can I apply via any Thai embassy/consulate in the world? (for example - in Kuala Lumpur). Any other advice would be appreciated regarding ME tourist visas, this will be my first time applying. Thank you for the help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the application process for a 6-month multi-entry tourist visa to Thailand, specifically whether they need to apply at the consulate in Sydney or if they can apply at any Thai embassy or consulate worldwide. Responses clarified that applications must be made in the applicant's home country or a country of residency, with Sydney being the preferred location due to ease of online pre-approval. Additional questions regarding processing times revealed that the timeframes can vary, with examples of 4-8 days reported for returns after submission.

just wondering how you went with this process in the end? Iโ€™m an Aussie from Melbourne, planning to apply for multi entry tourist visa. Did they require any additional docs from you? What was the overall timeframe of the process? Thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

I'm in the same boat, but from NZ. Obviously want to maximise the length of our visa, but as they take your passports, we don't want to miss our flights without passports. How long before you leave are you planning on applying?

You can only apply for a multiple entry tourist visa in your home country, or a country you hold residency in.
