Regarding Nong Khai, while i understand it must be easy for holders of western passports, but quite a few Indian travellers have been denied entry since the visa free regime began (including a few youtubers). Interestingly, a couple of them were told upfront while going the other way (Thailand to Laos), that they will be denied entry from here while returning, but they can fly in. Would be interesting to know the experiences of relatively "weak" nationality passport holders here
