most "bad" stories are based on "border bounce" experience, not on entry into Thailand after a stay inside Cambodia. however do get prepared, as I mentioned before, to show the "three proofs" if you don't know what they are, ask now

there is always the slight chance that without a visa, you will be asked to show the "three proofs"

it is worth a try, because if refused he/she can still get a 30-day visa exempt entry (land border or airport) and be able to extend it for further 30 days. Tongue in cheek - IF he/she has a long history of stays in Thailand . . then it becomes a lottery game

sure I am talking about foreign transfers into Thai bank account here

okay, I see. So for example, someone proves 12 months x 40,000 into his bank account (=480,000) and he has a deposit of 400,000 THB on his account for 2 months prior to the application, this will suffice ?!

if you have been using hotels or guesthouses during your stay, you should not worry about the TM30 registration. The hotels & guesthouses do it for you, as they are required to register their guests at Immigration under the TM30

he must make sure his EOS becomes invalid when he leaves Thailand . . . for example not having a re-entry permit on it

if you mean you have a 60 days single entry tourist visa, you can get 30 more days on it, at any immigration office inside Thailand for 1900
@Thai *****
. . there is no need to do a border run

it seems that he is on a 60 day extension based on having a Thai spouse, which runs out by March 8th. He will have to get a new Non-Imm-O based on marriage outside of Thailand after this date. Vietnam due to qarantaine regulations is no option. However he can still do it in Malaysia, Myanmar or Laos. There seems to be some misunderstanding between Immigration and his wife

there actually is no way to "self file" without the owner getting involved at least a bit. The "renter" needs the owners blue housebook and his ID on copies signed by the owner
