Deniz Saritel Not totally correct. I did my ID verification in Sattahip but my account is Bang Kapi Bangkok. Might have something to do with the fact that I've been a customer for 36 years.

I have lived in Sattahip for more than 10 years and have never been told to go to Bangkok where I opened the account.

I opened a KBANK account in 1990 when I first came to Thailand and still have it. I use the Sattahip branch for updates, ATM card and guarantee letter for visa extension, so the answer is yes, you can use any branch. However the ATM card must be used at a KBANK machine. Out of province use of the card will entail a fee..... 15-20 Baht I think.

Lydia Zimmerman It's not that we foreigners are unkind, but some people need to do their own research like we did many years ago, not just come on FB and ask questions that can be answered by checking out (in this case) the Thai Immigration website.

I worked legally for a company which paid into Social Security for me. Upon reaching a certain age I received a lump sum refund.

The whole Education Visa process is under review as it's been abused by tourists (mostly Russian) as a cover to work illegally. Don't be surprised if the whole Immigration/Visa system is overhauled by the incoming administration as Anutin hates farangs.

Doug Olson If you don't want advice then don't post questions on FB. Go and get a Cert of Residence from the IO....... a bank cannot deny that.
