ok, I understand. I have the 3.😁 I've been working in Oz and have a history of flying in and out of here for 7 years. The Authorities know of my address here. I usually work for 4 weeks and come over for 12 nights. Over the last few years I've had a 60 day and topped it up with another 30 and I've had 2x45day visas. This time I'm here for 4 months. I've booked a bus run with a visa service for baht 4k after considering the advice I've received. That is actually cheaper than flying to Laos or Vietnam. 😆

I was hoping for another 60 on re-entry. If I do a 30 day extension, they are likely to refuse another 30 after that.

I did consider a night in Vietnam, because the flights are marginally cheaper than Laos.

I have been through Nong Khai/Vientiane border crossing before and last time I did stay 2 nights. This time I am considering flying direct to Vientiane and only staying one night. My wife's ageing parents are ill and she will not be able to accompany me this time. What are the 3 proofs you speak of.?

I'm in Suphan Buri so Vientiane is only another hour each way from here. Probably safer too.🤣

Thanks
@Bra****
, we were going to drive there and walk over for a night. I'm only an hour and a half from the Myanmar border, but it's closed too.

I saw that also. I should probably make another arrangement to be safe. I have a car and we were going to drive there and walk across. I'm actually only an hour and a half from the Myanmar border, but that's closed too.🥲

Thanks for the comments. Looks like a plane ride to Vientiane as I've left it too late to get a sleeper. Thanks.😁

This only applies to Farangs. Thai citizens still have freedom from this western oppression. If you can afford to visit Thailand, you can afford these fines.
