It's the parasite "tax agents" who have slithered out of the woodwork are causing the fear-mongering. Sadly so many people have fallen into the trap. In the highly unlikely scenario where some expats *might* have to pay tax, there will be an amnesty, giving people plenty of opportunity to get their affairs in order
is saying is totally correct. I did exactly the same. Enter on a non-OA and build the 65k transfers. I bought the insurance, then cancelled it after a month (getting 11 months refund) and got a bank account on the back of the OA and started the 65k transfers. I then did an out/in, coming back on 30 day exemption, applied for the 90-day visa, accepted with my record of 65k transfers, and three months later breezed in with the 12 month visa extension. It's the best way to avoid the ridiculous 800k scenario without grovelling to an agent who will charge
You have a WOE from 14 days before to 7 days after your due date. If you're smart you do a postal notification to save you spending a day at immigration. Must be sent 14 days before due date
I don't know of any who have been questioned. I know about a dozen who got DTVs and entered in a breeze. One has since done two border bounces, and three others have done one bounce. No problems no questions
Ok, then you will need one. Yes as a last resort, book into a hotel for one night in the same province as the immigration office you will be attending. Ensure the hotel will register you and give you a copy or screenshot of the TM30
You must be new here. You turn up at immigration without a TM30, they will not process any extension you are seeking until YOU have paid the fine. You really believe immigration are going to instigate legal action against the owner when they have the foreigner sitting in front of them. You've a lot to learn, but you'll get there! 👍
