The problem is do you trust them to pay up when you need them to. And you MUST be 1,000,000% honest to your health history to date. You can get diagnosed at international but treatment at government hospital to make cheaper. Good luck.

Frank Peeters i done my O visa via thai consulate 23y ago very quick turnaround

But alas now closed. I've never asked anybody anything with regards to visas for me or my thai wife. Ive literally taken her round the world visas no problem. For south africa, botswana and Zimbabwe you need yellow fever. You know where you get that from 3rd floor immigration phuket town. Thank you.

If your gov or private pensions you pay uk tax you dont pay thai tax. I have personally been to tax office phuket, there's 2 offices on phuket, 3 times and all times they said dont waste our time filling anything out. If one day you are asked to go see them then you have to show you pay uk tax so keep that up to date. Please follow integrity legal on youtube. His american and a fully paid up thai national. His a lawyer and can legally speak about law, tax, etc. He posts a blog or reel every day. Frank speaking as well.
