Sure-way is two PCR tests then, one for the TP about a week ago and then second one within 72 hr as most airlines still requires PCR test as well

I have read in a Laos related group that the government internally agreed on adopting new rules very similar to the one that will be effective on May 1 in Thailand. Next week we shall see if it is true or not.

The recent softening in Chinese economy is a major headwinds for THB. It may take longer this time, but along with increasing tourist arrivals and Chinese markets calming down THB will eventually recover.

Thailand economy is going through a hardship at the moment. They don't want to lose the precious foreign cash inflows from tourists at a time THB hitting new lows at 34 against USD. In reality Thailand is using covid extension as a cover to keep those wishing to stay longer, they could simply remove the term "covid" and call it; 60-days visa extension. These extensions will phase-out only when they have steady tourist arrivals not due to covid19 no longer being a pandemic or epidemic.

Anyone who is refusing vaccination/science because of irrational-uneducated-unintelligent fears & rumors or lack of knowledge and/or courage MUST stay at home. If that is a medical reason then quarantine is the way to go.

WHO numbers show average 5,000 weekly deaths around the world due to common flu. So Covid19 death rates are way over it so far.

I follow the USD/THB exchange rates for a few years. Thai Fed allows free float in the 33-34 range but aggressively sells USD once it touches the upper limit. I anticipate Thai Fed stepping in soon to pull USD toward 33 in the coming days. Unless there is a fundamental weakness in Thai economy/politics the Thai reserve will be able to control the rate in

not to mention increasing cases of covid19 and deaths in asia.. around 120 daily death toll and more than 20,000 new cases (without much screening) in Thailand. Most think it is already over just because most countries lifted covid19 safety measures due to econo-politic motives. According to worldmeters still more than 16,000 are dying weekly due to covid19. I agree that Thailand will continue the covid19 extensions a few more times this summer. Thailand also needs a lot of tourist to boost its weak economy.

I think it is smart. Not to mention the ease of getting marriage visa while everyone dishes out cash to agents or visa-runs across borders. If you sell a U.S. house then save tens of thousands of dollars extra due to married filing joint status. Just make sure to safeguard yourself with prenuptial and additional legal ways especially if you build or purchase a house and car. I have seen just too many guys who lost all their precious life savings in the name of the love.
