vs a much larger death toll and a larger economic hit due to a overflowing hospitals. Yes that's why it's call mitigation. You can easily look at countries who thought it was a joke like Brazil and America. In Brazil they had fires burning for months, gymnasiums where filled with bodies, so much so people couldn't get a funeral if bodies are left to long thats a different can of worms disease will spread taking more lives. Not sure how you can't see this could have been much much much worst. It's was pretty bad as is
