Would love to nick up to Vientiane for a weekend, anyone have any idea about the status of A. The Lao border B. What it would take to regain entry into Thailand

I have read in a Laos related group that the government internally agreed on adopting new rules very similar to the one that will be effective on May 1 in Thailand. Next week we shall see if it is true or not.

said you can only enter as part of a tour group. With regards to re-entering Thailand, you'd need to meet all of the entry requirements in place including getting a Thai Pass.
