he spent 6 months in French Polynesia so it was easier for him to renew his passport while being on his island rather than going to the French embassy in Bangkok
when he left Tahiti he showed the old passport. (Still valid for 2 years but the Thai immigration asked him to renew it because not enough pages left ) in French Polynesia he was retained by the customs who saw in their system that he was registered under another passport. After a time that seemed very long, they told him not to show anymore his old passport ever. My husband is 80 years old and not stupid at all ( thanks for the nice opinion ) but just confused with his 2 passports and stressed by the incident. I wish everybody could at this age make alone such a long and exhausting journey between his 2 homes. 3 days traveling, 5 airports + spending 22 hours in Taipei airport waiting for a connecting flight. Who never makes a weird mistake ? Please be indulgent. But I agree it is a stupid mishap.
Ben ça dépend ce qu on appelle quelques jours… On est le 30 mai et donc il faut 35 jours pour le 1er rv le 4 juillet … et comme je veux 2 rv il faut encore un peu plus
Déjà concrètement, à ce jour, il faut plus d’un mois pour obtenir un rendez-vous sur le site de l’ambassade. Alors 3-4 semaines pour obtenir le passeport, ça me paraît utopique… En France, les retours d’expérience évoquent plutôt des délais entre 4 à 6 mois! 😫
