honestly mate, if I was you - just do an application for your son/daughter. Add them on as a dependant. So you just go to the application page again, and do an application but just quoting your Dtv as explained above.

Sometimes, the fees for ed visa and hassle can outweigh just having them as a dependant on your visa (you’ve already got one, so it’s really not that difficult and time consuming to approve)

Hope that helps.

this 👏 the exact reason I did my boys. That, and the avoidance of any “tryers” when doing the extension, or re entry.

You can use a savings account no problem. They may however ask for you to show a statement where your wages are paid into it, so be mindful of that.

Honestly, it’s not enforced for children. But… I applied for my son as a dependent of my DTV (he’s six) and it was processed the next day after I was approved for mine.

So, imagine that you’re applying from the UK… and then 4 days into your application, you’ve already flew to Spain, had a stamp in your passport from Spain. You receive an email, asking for a picture of all pages in your passport, ooops - this will then mean, your application is cancelled because you’re meant to stay in the country of application whilst it’s ongoing.

For the sake of waiting a week or 10 days max normally with the UK Thai Embassy, just hold it out, stick around.

“can I just send it over from my bank account” which would imply the funds are in his business bank account and not his personal account” - which would then pose the next issue, of the seasoning.

To vaguely answer your question, it can depend on where you are going to apply from.

I’ve heard some countries will be OK with 1 month, some wanting 6 months. It can vary from time to time.

I’m sure you’ll get some recent comments with their experience.

things can change all the time & there’s no issue asking for updated information. This is an advice group, and should be used as such for questions. Just like your post back in February regarding the various issuing places for passports.

There was, as you say “multiple posts” however information was blurred & therefore you asked it yourself in a post. Did people comment on yours saying “search and scroll” - just be helpful. No need for the smart ars* comments.
