Anonymous participant I did read another post from Sydney which said they got there’s in 9 working days… your approval may be just around the corner :))

It’s not frowned upon as such… it really depends where applying from. But normally around 10 working days up to 15 in some circumstances. I wouldn’t email until 11 working days & even then, chances of a reply are slim lol

Anonymous participant 572 but every time you load money… it has to be from converting a foreign currency. How do you plan on doing that?

You mentioned you’re applying from Indonesia. I know you mentioned you did search, but if you search “Indonesia” in the group, you’ll find examples. This is a screenshot of one I found where it was approved with just one month prior adding of the funds. It doesn’t mention specifically what the balance was before, but just to give you an idea.

I won’t be extending mine in country, regardless of whether I’ve got all the documents and backup to do it, I just can’t be bothered to sift through and do it all again lol. I’ll be coming in and out, as I think it’s the easiest thing to do…… up to you though mate haha. 🙏

so basically, there’s been a few things raised about entering thru to get a new stamp rather than extending in country.

Firstly, let it be clear it’s a lot easier to get a new stamp by leaving and re entering, than it is applying in country.

However - ofc there’s always a caveat lol, it has been reported by quite a few people that if you’ve applied for the DTV in a country such as Laos, Cambodia or neighbouring countries, you can be subject to scrutiny upon your arrival into BKK.

This can include (but not limited to): verification of your documents used to apply for the visa, live check of available funds and a few other things.

It is rare, but it seems to be happening a lot more often nowadays. Of course, you could always avail of the secure entry methods which are advertised a lot. I wouldn’t be in a position to recommend one to you, however :)

Yesterday you asked about flying to Thailand whilst visa pending approval/refusal… now it’s Indonesia.

If you make another application while this one is ongoing, they will see it.

If you’ve already supplied all the relevant documents required, just hold out for a decision before submitting again, anywhere else.

Actually it has been noted in another DTV group, that people have been asked for it upon reentry if applications made from certain countries embassies. Along with the documents to support the application too.

Muay Thai Fever Gym if you’ve supplied everything that would normally be requested, the applicant has only one option which is to try application from alternative embassy. If that fails, another one bites the dust.

But please appreciate my comment was made on the basis of the information made available at the time.
