Is it safe to wait for my Thai visa approval after a previous rejection?

Apr 22, 2025
I got a visa rejection in Hanoi last month, but I’ve reapplied for the DTV from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on April 4, 2025. Right now, it’s at the pending approval stage, but it hasn’t been approved yet. I’m just a bit worried—do you think it’s safe? Like, is there still a chance it could get rejected? I thought it should’ve been done by now. Has anyone ever gotten rejected even after reaching the pending approval stage?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquirer is anxious about their DTV visa application submitted from Phnom Penh after a prior rejection in Hanoi. They seek reassurance regarding the possibility of additional rejection during the pending approval phase, especially given that approval has not yet been granted. Comments indicate a mix of experiences, emphasizing the importance of patience during the Songkran holiday and the varying time frames for visa approvals in Cambodia. Some users shared personal timelines and noted that rejections post-pending status can happen, particularly if there were issues with prior applications.

If it’s pending approval you should expect to be approved in a couple of days

Cambodia takes 11 business days. No less. It was songkran holiday so you will have to wait a little longer I think.

I got approved in cambodia after exactly 11 business days including day of application. I was on pending approval status for more then a week.

Good luck. If your application was solid then i bet its just a matter of patience ;-).

What was the reason you were rejected in Hanoi? Cambodia can take up to 13 business days, also have to factor in the holidays over Songkran..

Anonymous participant what's your passport nation? Are you from Bangladesh? I read a post yesterday about a DTV Visa Application being cancelled, not denied. And found out that the applicant held a passport from Bangladesh.

Anonymous participant hmmmmm 🤔 surprising at rejection. Do you have experience providing digital nomad services to customers outside of Thailand?

Or a new venture just started by you?

Many have been rejected pending approval means just that pending

And if you've already been rejected once high probability of it happening again
