TLDR : Answer Summary
The most common mistakes when applying for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) include not thoroughly checking personal information, assuming all embassies have the same rules, selecting the wrong embassy, failing to meet financial requirements such as maintaining a sufficient balance in a bank account, and not accurately following application instructions.

how does posting anonymously effect your DTV application? Im curious? Come to that how does it even affect the ongoing of your DTV?

Where as posting with your real name where Immigration / embassies actively monitor groups like this can see people trying it on and use that information to reject people’s applications, and or cancel visas

How do I know this? Because I work for one such embassy.

Picking the wrong embassy to apply. Different embassy’s process things differently

The most common mistake? Assuming that all embassies/consulate deal with the same information, in the same way, rather than knowing that different embassies can have different rules.

Couple that with not double checking the information which is auto populated when submitting passport into the system.
Steve *******
They do absolutely zero research except reading a headline in a news article from June 2024 and then panic when everything goes wrong.
Adrian ******
Probably not triple/ quadruple checking all the information is correct before submission especially passport data.
