You're wrong. You can keep bouncing. Each entry is 180 days. The extensions are 1900baht. The 10,000 baht is for the 5-year visa, not the extension. The visa is 5-year multi-entry, you don't pay anything when re-entering. It's a total beauty. I'm off the non-O and onto this brilliant new visa

You're probably not aware but this is not a Thai government website. It's a visa agent, and generally they spout a lot of crap info.

Stay away from immigration and just border bounce for five years. Get 180 days each time you re-enter. Works out at 2000 baht a year. Cheap as chips. Just have to show 500k in your overseas bank account. It's ok to call it a residency visa because that's exactly what it is.

I haven't seen anywhere which suggests a 180-day extension will be the same price as a 5-year visa

This is the new retirement visa. 10,000 THB for five years, no need to visit immigration. This is a little beauty. I'm switching from non-O. With no Thailand financial requirements, it'll be putting visa agents out of business!

You wouldn't pay a whole new five-year visa fee for a 180-day extension. All extensions are 1900 baht

Yes. If your embassy in Thailand can sign the affidavit you don't need to transfer money to Thailand
