“They” are wrong, as often is the case with airline employees. USCIS officials are the ones to ask, not uninformed airline employees… if she has a green card, she is a legal US resident.

Chiang Mai is my favorite place, go up into the mountains and visit the mountain people’s village, above the Chiang Mai temple. Cheaper goods, less tourists, friendly people.
