Not really but yes, you should always bring stuff with you to assume it could be possible worst case to be outside for like up to 2 weeks.. This is even the reality for me, each time i need a non-o based on child. You always feel this insecurity, it is part of the deal.

I mean you would always get back in some way, for enough time to still take your actual belongings etc, or just to keep coming, but feeling sucks.

What do you expect if you applied friday and it is monday morning now? That they would rush to notify you by lunch because you are special?

Soon the country be flooded with waste packers who are 'digital nomads' to then see the visa's being cancelled. Welcome to flip flop thailand.

Not to mention that everyone needs to pay taxes on their overseas income from next year too. Are most that applied even aware of this?

Sounds brilliant, starting in high season with people who pre-booked tickets long before, and are unaware. Doubt it will happen any time soon.

What does 'portfolio' mean? Showing a UpWork profile together with a website where you offer your services or showcase things you done so far? Or just a resume?

Yeah else people start shuffle money, is good to have the minimum months holding that balance or more, else the visa will be cancelled in no time again too.
