Thanks
@St***
. So that option is viable even if the applicant doesn’t have a pension. That clears things up. Much appreciated.

that would be very useful for people in Thailand who need to get that done 👍

ok, so if you get a company to do it, that’s probably why it can work. I did it for a friend of mine while I was in the U.K. and they were in Thailand. It was a bit of running around so I imagine it wouldn’t be cheap!

My choice would be not to rely on what whoever answers the phone says. The process is outlined n their website and there’s less chance of “but I was told on the phone…’ syndrome.

That’s just me though. 😊

As I remember, the MK bit can be done online. Thai embassy should respond to email. The bit that squirrelled a friend of mine was payment to the Thai embassy by postal order!

Worth doing the process in the U.K. before you leave. All you need is ONE Thai official to dig their heels in about it and you’re squirrelled. It’s really difficult to do from outside the U.K.

tricky, if not impossible, getting it done by mail from abroad unless there’s someone in the U.K. willing to help. Some of the steps involved require cash payments. The last step, a stamp from the Thai embassy, needs payment in either cash, or a postal order which can only be obtained from a U.K. post office.

Which office in Phuket did you go to? Whichever one it was, try the other one :) Phuket Town, or Patong.

Mark Chan That usually means your Apple ID shows you an app store that is specific to your region.
