They may ask you why you didn't do an extension and re entry permit on this non O. This is what happened to me. They did let me in but warned me about doing a border run at the end of the visa exempt entry.

Where to even start with this one. I think you should understand the rules for a visa before you apply for one. My guess is you are in Thailand visa exempt not on a tourist visa, and your DTV would be cancelled since you are in Thailand, however I am not an expert I am just guessing based on previous posts.

Chang Wada most American insurance will cover emergencies wherever you are. To be sure check with your insurance company. Thai insurance is also a pretty affordable option.

I think it's a personal choice, I enjoy the mountains, the culture, northern food. The temples are amazing. When it gets hot can just hop on the bike and within a few minutes you are up the mountain and cooler. During burn season, one can go on vacation to one of the other places.
