This whole thing is about 700,000 numbers from 2022. Not every number is suspicious because of possible fraud.Some people might have bought sim-cards from for example Lazada which were pre-registered.That's not allowed. It must be registered in your name.

About that time everything changed when it comes to doing border runs to Cambodia on your own. I guess it's about money. People had to use agencies if they wanted it to be a one day trip from for example Pattaya.

If you're using the monthly deposit method, you do need a 12 months bank statement from your bank for the first 1 year extension.

Doing border runs on your own to for example Cambodia isn't a one day thing anymore. But doing a border run using an agency is still "in and out" the same day. Before they closed every land border crossing,that is. In and out via air is not the same thing. You'll be back on a 60 days visa exempt in no time. One night in Cambodia or Vietnam isn't that bad and it's cheap.

A DTV isn't exactly an Elite visa. You won't be able to sail trough anything at the airport.
