I think you’re over thinking this way too much. Firstly why are you using an agent ?? This is a huge waste of money. You already qualify so just go yourself and pay the fee. Save yourself all that extra money. There is nothing an agent can do that you can’t yourself. I just did it myself today and it took 15 minutes. No need for tax returns. This is not listed as a requirement. Your bank statements are fine with the required balance. Use 6 months if you can. You don’t need pay slips. Hcmc is very good to apply at but they are moving to evisa in October. Not sure if there are any online appointments left for in person. If you have a rental agreement just attach it. Honestly when you go they will check and give you back what they don’t want and or ask you for what is missing but they main things are the money and proof you have a remote job. Keep it simple and don’t over think it.
I posted about this previously. Yes, they emailed me that they are moving to Evisa in October. The wait time will be up to 30 days they said so I don't know...that's a long time to wait in a hotel. I think there might be better options than this, but if you don't get an apt before they move to the evisa, I am not sure it's worth coming to HCMC to do it unless you already live here or are willing to wait indefinitely in an airbnb.
So the best thing to do is to open a bank account and transfer from her wide account. Everything is done by qr code scanning here. If she wants to transfer from wise to her landlord she can easily do that in wise with the landlords bank info. This is what I do and I just transfer from wise to my Thai bank account each month. Day to day transactions are much easier if you have a Thai bank. Top up it up with wise.
No one knows the answer to this since it's only been a few months. I think the only time you would have to prove something or show evidence is if you do your extension after 6 months at your local immigration office. There is always a chance that an immigration officer at the border could check, it's within his right, but very unlinkely.
yeah could be. I find the biggest question asked here is about the funds...which I thought would be the easiest. I realise it's not easy for everyone but I consider it an emergency fund and I think everyone should have at least 6 months of emergency funds in case something goes bottoms up with your online work. Or, transfer from investments to your account and then visit an embassy that doesn't require 6months of statements perhaps.
My question would be, if you work remotely why not get the DTV under that category - it would be way cheaper than paying for a soft power activity , don't you think? But yes, as long as you are not working in Thailand all is ok (meaning your income is earned from outside of Thailand).
The digital nomad visa doesn't require you to pay for some crazy expensive course. Further to that, what happens when your course is over? We don't know if there will be checks on that but the digital nomad category, if you already work online, is preferable for those reasons.
