I can recommend a company that will take you from DTV to the Laos border in a comfortable minivan.
Or the option I used myself: fly to the nearest airport to the border, and the company provided me with a driver who took me to the border by car, handled all the stamps in about half an hour, and then drove me back to the airport.
However, this airport service only runs 2–3 times a week, so I recommend booking in advance.
Write me a private message and I’ll share the contact.
