Arrivi con un non immigrant O, apri un conto corrente, metti 800.000 thb, devono stare sul conto x 2 mesi. Prima della scadenza dei tre mesi del visa, fai l’estensione x un anno

We organised everything on our own, opened account, put money

Went to immigration 3 months later and it was fine

No problems

We tried to open a second bank account recently, but were not able. All banks asked for 1 year visa extension

The only account we could open was Kasikorn with the non O visa

 thank‘s, that shows them you were frequently travelling to Malaysia

We have the issue, that we need to get the visa without pension, as we don‘t have yet, but the funds ( Thai embassy in Vienna requiring this)

Therefore we are looking for alternative solution

 for how long did you stay in Penang?

Did you have to proof that you have a pension or just the bank statement?

You will need a thai simcard to open the account, best take a one year contract
