So even if you go later when there is no queue, you now take your own queue number from a machine instead of at the counter? Is that correct? And if so, I presume are there are several machines for different visas? Thanks for clarification on this.

I thank you too. I missed what you deleted but have been really disheartened by the ridiculing & rudeness on many of the sites. Fun is fun, but a lot of what I have read is downright rudeness & ignorance to responses of people who genuinely require an answer, no matter how dumb or naive the question is to many.

Last week I went to immigration & got a 30 day extension. I put my address on the form but wasn't asked to provide proof of address.

Done. Easy & fast except for the trek there & taxis telling me it was too far to go! In hindsight I should have taken a few spare forms if I need to repeat & just jump straight in the queue. Thank you for the clear instructions & where to go.

Thank you. Will give it a go. I can only do this once? Is that correct or could I do it again later in the year when entering from overseas - not visa runs per se?
